Based in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy, Beretta has a long tradition of designing and manufacturing firearms for the Military and Law Enforcement markets. So much so, that the very first proof of existence of the company is a military contract that dates back to 1526 for the Arsenal of Venice.

The logo of the company is often confused with a trident. However it actually represents three distinct arrows symbolizing the attacks of a warship towards an enemy vessel.
The arrow on the left indicates the first warning shot, aimed at the stern of the opposing ship; the one on the right, the second shot towards the bow. The arrow in the middle represents the last shot; fired when the enemy has not surrendered yet and is therefore destined to hit him.
Today, this emblem is also depicted on a stele of the Vittoriale, a monumental complex commissioned by the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio to commemorate the soldiers who fell during World War I.

In our Supplier Spotlight series we want to share this unique video that shows Beretta’s history, their craftsmanship as well as their ability to innovate.
Human Technology, released in late 2014, celebrates the uniqueness and the distinction of every Beretta high-end custom firearms. The video reveals through the minutia of the manufacturing process, the genesis of a Beretta shotgun. A poetic journey through sterile robotic rooms is blended with five centuries of Beretta’s history, culminating in the final assembly by the gunsmith, ever the wise guardian of the art of manufacturing. The cast is entirely made up of Beretta workmen, thus illustrating the perfect synthesis between craftsmanship and technology.
